The fourth annual Toyota HBCU Classic football game took center stage at MetLife Stadium, bringing together alumni, students, and fans from across the country for an exciting day of competition and celebration.
This year’s matchup featured Morehouse College from Atlanta, Georgia, facing off against Howard University from Washington, D.C. The rivalry continues to grow, with attendance at tailgate parties and the game itself steadily increasing each year, highlighting the event’s rising popularity.
While the game was on Saturday, the festivities and friendly banter began days earlier. Fans and supporters participated in pre-game parties and tailgates on Friday, where spirited trash talk and camaraderie set the tone for the main event.
A consistent highlight of the event remains the Howard Bison’s determination to secure victory, a challenge they’ve met with resilience over the years. This year proved no different, with Howard emerging victorious once again.
The final score: Howard University 38, Morehouse College 10. The win adds another chapter to the storied rivalry and underscores Howard’s dominance in this annual showdown.
As the event continues to grow, the Toyota HBCU game remains a powerful celebration of Black college athletics, community spirit, and excellence.
