What if life’s greatest challenges could become the fuel for extraordinary success? That’s not just an idea for Brad Butler II—it’s his reality. Butler has turned his struggles into a mission to uplift and inspire others. Through his organization, H.O.P.E. (Helping Others with Personal Empowerment), he is proving that setbacks are merely setups for comebacks.

Butler grew up in New Jersey in special education. “I thought it was the worst thing in the world,” he admitted. “But as I got older, I realized it was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me.”

He later successfully earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Kean University and a master’s degree in counseling from Pillar College. His career-defining moment came when a former special education teacher invited him to share his story with students. Initially hesitant, Butler took the stage—and the impact was immediate. “The room was filled with emotion—students were in tears as they saw themselves in my journey,” he recalled. That day, he realized his purpose was far greater than himself.

The launch of H.O.P.E. wasn’t without its challenges. “People doubted me—they said I was too young, too urban,” Butler recalled. “They criticized my jeans and sneakers. But I refused to conform. My message is about authenticity, and I stand by that.”

Through H.O.P.E., Butler speaks in classrooms, conferences, and community events.
