The Heart of Rock and Roll is a foot tapping, get on your feet and have a good time dancing!

The show is set in 1987 and is inspired by songs from Huey Lewis including “The Heart of Rock and Roll” and “Do You Believe in Love”.

The performance stars Corey Cott who plays Bobby, a talented young rock musician who is trying to transition his hobby of playing in a band to a more serious corporate job. Mckenzie Kurtz plays Cassandra, with whom Bobby works at her family's cardboard company.

During a conference, Bobby and Cassandra, who is also being pursued by her college ex- boyfriend Tucker, find that they have feelings for each other. They soon have a big decision to make on how to follow their heart.

The singing and dancing had many in the crowds bopping along, and the production of the show, which was very upbeat and straightforward. It was filled with music from the 1980s, costumes and fun puns. If you’re a fan of Rom-Com’s then this one’s for you, it is something the whole family can enjoy.

Tickets are on sale now for the show at Manhattan’s James Earl Jones Theatre.
