New Year, New Flex

The new year is always a time to re-examine and reflect. This is a moment to shed old layers and uncover a renewed version of yourself.  For many, the New Year symbolizes an awakening and an opportunity to start fresh.


Every year, you think about making resolutions and promise yourself to stick with them. Still, even with the best intentions, most people don’t keep them for long. Let’s try to change the narrative. What  can you do to make 2026 your best year yet?

It is well known that many people have good intentions, but keeping their resolutions is not as easy as they think. You can start by setting goals you can actually reach. For example, if you want to lose weight, don’t aim to lose 40 pounds all at once. Instead, focus on working out, eating better, and setting smaller goals. Try losing 10 pounds over a few weeks or months. As you make progress, you’ll see real results.

Show compassion towards others. No lie, it was difficult in 2025. Many faced a job loss, a tough economy, and other hardships. Some of the most popular celebrities can inspire you to look forward to the new year and cultivate a better mindset. Many have made mistakes and reacted publicly on social media, sometimes even deleting their accounts after backlash. Instead of sharing every detail, it's better to quietly move on. Let go of the past! Vow to do better!

Flawless Boss lady Cardi B, who is no stranger to drama, got ahead of everybody by making her New Year’s resolution early on her 33rd birthday, October 11, 2025. She shared with her fans her quest for a renewed spiritual connection. “33 is the Jesus year, and I must say, I never felt so covered and protected by the man above himself. He never fails to remind me that I am chosen and anointed,” she revealed.

Most of all, try to stay as positive as possible and vow to dig into your inner self in 2026, which will inspire you to make and keep your New Year’s resolutions. 

Keep in mind the words Supermodel Gisele Bündchen  shared about  love and compassion. She said, “A new year is a special time to reflect on all that we have learned and what new things we want to create in our lives.” 

Now, get that New Year’s Resolution party started! 


20 TOP RESOLUTIONS TO MAKE AND KEEP:

1. Find a new job. 

(Hey, if the old one isn’t working, don’t be miserable for the rest of 2026.)

2. Ditch friends who don’t matter.

3. Jumpstart your love life.

4. Find your passion with a new hobby, perhaps even one where you can make money.

5. Learn to forgive yourself for past mistakes.

6. Travel to a new, interesting destination.

7. Work out more. Don’t buy that gym membership if you won’t use it.

8. Create a vision board

9. Stop trolling frenemies on social media.

10. Stop comparing your appearance to other people: be yourself.

11. Work on improving your eating habits, and try new foods.

12.  Get organized.

13. Cut back on liquor and try tasty mocktails.

14. Let guilt go.

15. Give back to charities by performing community service.

16. Pamper yourself.

17. Read that book that you've been dying to dive into.

18. Set new milestones.

19. Give up a vice.

20. Learn to say “no.”
